how to match makeup with clothes
Does our makeup matches our outfit is a question that has concerned us all at least once. All of us have at least once went to an event wondering is our makeup appropriate for that evening, should have the eyeshadow been darker or lighter, or should we have chosen another lipstic.
In this text I'll help you discover how to properly match colors of your makeup with the color of your outfit.
1. stay in one collor pallete
Staying in one color pallete means sticking to a few similar colors in similar shades. For example, if you are wearing a blue dress, do not put a red lipstic, because blue is from cool shades (green, blue and purple), and red is from warm shades (yellow, orange, red). if your clothes are in cool shades your makeup will in most cases look better if its in lighter shades, but if your wearing clothes in warm shades, your outfit will be more likely to look better with darker shades of makeup.
2. do not be way too matchy Don't get matching makeup with clotes way too literaly, for example, do not choose having the color of your lipstic to be the exact same shade of color like your shirt. Also feel free to investigate many makeup styles, you can find one makeup style that you like or you can try different styles of makup for different occasions. In my opinion, styles of makeup that everyone should try at least once are: mate makeup, dewy makeup, editorial makeup, celebrity makeup.
3. contrast Knowing when to make high contrast between the outfit and makeup is very important, expecially when you are attending some glamurous event. For example, if you are wearing a black dress you could go with lighter makeup, in my opinion, nude colors would look great. Yet, if you are wearing some lighter clothes, then you may wear black eyeliner or red lipstic.
makeup tips: 1. Puting on the lipstic is like finishing up the whole look. The choise of lipstic is very important because it describes what you wanted from your outfit. The lipstic is what gives your outfit its attitude.2. Colors of eyeshadow should not match the shades of the outfit. it just does not look right.
3. There is the same rule for the blush as for the eyeshadow. do not match the outfit, but try to find a blash that goes along with your skintone and eyeshadow.
